Piercing Aftercare Instructions

Proper aftercare is extremely important for helping your new piercing heal correctly. Following the recommended aftercare routine will reduce the risk of infection and help your piercing heal faster.

Cleaning Your Piercing

Clean your piercing twice daily using a sterile saline solution. Spray the saline directly onto the piercing and allow it to soak for a few minutes before gently patting the area dry with a clean paper towel.

Avoid using alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, or harsh soaps on your piercing, as these can irritate the tissue and slow the healing process.

General Healing Tips

• Always wash your hands before touching your piercing
• Do not twist or rotate the jewelry
• Avoid swimming in pools, lakes, or hot tubs and tanning during early healing
• Avoid sleeping directly on new ear piercings
• Do not change jewelry until the piercing is fully healed

Healing Times

Healing times vary depending on the type of piercing:

• Ear lobe piercings: 6–8 weeks
• Cartilage piercings: 3–6 months
• Navel piercings: 6–12 months
• Facial piercings: 2–4 months

Your piercer will give you specific healing guidance based on the piercing you receive.
